Midnight Snack
This is something that's been discussed by many fellow wedding-goers of late. Here's the thing - you get married in the late afternoon - say 3 or 4pm. Then you go off and take photographs while your guests have a few drinks and nibble on a few canapes. Once the reception begins, the first thing ticked off the list is dinner, intermingled with a few speeches. Then comes the serious part... the dancing. After 3-4 hours of intense artistic exercise, you tend to work up an appetite.

But then your guests depart, giddy from an incredible evening and still ticking from some serious dancing. If many of them are from out of town, chances are they are going to go back to their accommodation a touch peckish... but what take away shops are open at 1am? If you're in the middle of a sleepy vineyard town, or tucked away in a holiday beach spot, you're most likely out of luck.
What does this result in? Cranky, hungry and probably hung over guests showing up at your "Day After BBQ", which is oftentimes the event where you and your new spouse are the most relaxed! Here's a suggestion we think is both smart and unique.
Give each guest as they leave a "Midnight Snack"! Have your caterers, your wedding party or your wedding coordinator pre-arrange for snack bags for each guest. These may contain a bag of chips, a sandwich, a chocolate bar, another bag of chips, and if you're quite generous, a recently warmed savoury. Not only is it a cute and novel idea, it's a smart one too!
