The Hidden Cost of Photography Packages!

An article from theBIGstep Site Photographers (this is a photo of them on their wedding day, by the way!)...What will that photography "package" really cost you?

Six weeks after your wedding, home from a wonderful honeymoon, you have the new glow of marriage as your photographer sits you down to a computer to show you the proposed album layout. The photographs are wonderful, and you want them all. Thank goodness the photography package you signed up for before your wedding included a comprehensive album...or did it?
 
The up-sell that some photographers use after your wedding can amount to nothing less than emotional blackmail. That ten-page album included in your package now seems very thin, and you find yourself paying by the page for a further 20 or more pages. Just as well that you still have a little left on you credit card!
 
It doesn't need to be that way. The trick to wedding planning is getting your head around what your wedding will really cost, without spoiling any of the magic. It is possible to find out the true total cost of your photography before your wedding day. We suggest that you ask the photographer for a total quote, including all the bits that you want included. How many pages are in the sample albums that you are shown? And how many are quoted in the package? If you can't seem to get a clear answer from your photographer on the total cost, including a comprehensive album, then it may be time to consider another photographer.
 
There are no second chances for the photography.
