Be on Time... Not too Early!

This one's for the boys. I was recently talking to my husband about his pre-wedding day experience.

Be on Time... Not too Early!

As the bride, we're consumed with hair, makeup, mothers, dress preparation, bouquets, breathing and not breathing. For the men, on the whole, it's not so complicated.

Shower. Shave. Get dressed (hopefully your outfit is already pressed, or if not, a mother is addressing this situation on your behalf). Arrive at the church. It sounds easy enough.

Here's something to remember though. The bride is the last to arrive, and let's be honest - she's always late. Waiting isn't so much of an issue for her. For him, it can be.

As the groom, if you get there too early, you feel like you're waiting for an eternity. According to my husband, that was the mistake he made. It felt like forever... and you're lingering in or around the church or ceremony venue, oftentimes in a position where the guests can see you...they don't want to necessarily talk to you, as they think you're probably deep in thought, but they can't stop staring at you either. It's weird. So from a man who's been there – get there on time...not too early. But for god's sake, don't be late!
