Wax and Wait
Waxing may be painful, but it gets rid of unwanted hairs, leaving your skin silky smooth. There is a catch though - make sure you know your skin before you schedule your wedding appointment.

Waxing is a clean, hopefully quick and long-lasting way to achieve smooth skin. Waxing unwanted hair eliminates nicks from shaving, leaving your skin stubble-free and smooth. Don't forget though...not everyone's skin loves to have wax SUCK out the hair from under it! If you've never had waxing on any part of your body, I suggest you visit a trusted beauty therapist at least a month, if not two, before the big day to see how your skin will react. If you don't have any adverse effects, you can go ahead and schedule your waxing for the wedding - but no later than 6-7 days before the day! The last thing you want is your makeup artist trying her best to cover up random splotches or irritated skin patches.
It's also important to not go crazy with your eyebrow waxing right before the wedding. I've seen it happen before...you go in to get a shape and agree for them to "thin" them. Next thing you know, you have three lonely hairs above each of your eyes, which are now permanently shut to avoid all the dust that keeps falling into them! If you don't already know it, make sure you decide on the shape that best suits your face at least a few months before the wedding.
A few key things to remember about waxing:
1. Don't drink caffeine before getting a wax (such as coffee, tea or soda), as it makes for a much more painful experience
2. Try to avoid getting waxed when you are menstruating, as it can also make it a bit more painful
3. Wait at least a day after you've been waxed to schedule a tanning session or sessions
4. Common waxed areas include:
* Eyebrows
* Upper Lip
* Armpits
* Bikini
* Legs
