I hope this site helps to make things a bit easier when planning your trip to the Wairarapa for our wedding.

For those of you that require accommodation for the wedding date, we have booked out the cottages and rooms at Brackenridge for the Saturday (day before the wedding) and Sunday (day of the wedding). We have chosen a very busy weekend to get married.
It is Waitangi Day (NZ National day) on the Saturday. The Wellington Rugby Sevens are on Saturday so it will be very busy in Wellington. (Hopefully you will be in the Wairarapa by then (Martinborough is 1 hours 15 mins drive from Wellington).

It is also Martinborough fair day! Martinborough has a population of 1800, which will swell to well over 30,000 on Fair day. So don't plan anything other than being in town on Saturday. You won't be able to drive far!

Sunday the 7th Feb is our wedding day, but this also coincides with the Tauherenikau Horse races, this should only affect travel for people coming from Wellington or Masterton on the Sunday. Please check the Location & Accommodation tab for more info and tips.
