What should I get for my bridesmaids?
I know I'm supposed to get gifts for my bridesmaids, but could you suggest some ideas?

You should select wedding gifts for your bridesmaids and groomsmen that will remind them of how much fun they had on your wedding day. One key thing to remember though - make sure you don't fall under the spell of "tradition" if that's not your style. There isn't one formula every wedding couple has to follow. Make sure your gifts mean something, yes, but it's also important that your wedding party actually LIKE the presents as well!
A traditional gift for bridesmaids is jewellery, which they can wear on your wedding day. If the girls are wearing different styles of the same dress, than this is a great way to string them all together. It's always nice as well if your gift to your maid or matron of honour is a piece of jewellery that's just a little bit different. However, don't feel like you have to give them all pearls. Choose a style of jewellery that ties into your wedding style, your tastes and your and their personalities.
Other common presents include:
- Jewellery Boxes
- Picture Frames
- Tote Bags
- Compacts
- Makeup Cases
- Manicure Sets
- Toiletry Bags
- Soaps or Perfumes
- Glassware
- Tea Sets
- Lingerie Bags
- Business Card Cases, Passport Holders, Luggage Tags and other Document Envelopes
- Flasks or Drink Holders
A nice touch is having these gifts embroidered, engraved or monogrammed. You can also take a spin on these ideas, like making your own picture frames or painting them a piece on individual canvases. How about bathrobes or women's tool kits? Every time they take a bath or hammer a nail, they'll think of you!
