Where can I find an eco-friendly gown?
Are there any eco-conscious or earth friendly wedding gown designers in New Zealand?

That is an interesting question. We have not yet come across anyone in New Zealand that does eco-friendly or 'green' bridal gowns.
However, you can make efforts to ensure the design and creation of your wedding dress adheres to 'green' fundamentals. Consider approaching a dressmaker to make your gown. There are a few eco-benefits to having your dress made by a local dressmaker. You will have the option of choosing your own fabrics - such as New Zealand-made and/or organic fibres. You can also use recycled fabric - i.e. fabric from a family heirloom dress. Then there is the matter of distance...having it made in New Zealand means that you will avoid having to have the gown shipped from overseas, therefore reducing the dress's carbon footprint!
Finally, there is always the option of hiring your gown, which is not uncommon. If men can do it, why can't we?
